[POE 3.9] Pathfinder Guide For 5 Best Starter Builds

[POE 3.9] Pathfinder Guide For 5 Best Starter Builds

In Path of Exile 3.9: Conquerors of the atlas, The Pathfinder excels at taking advantage of very strong flasks, which will ease the pain of the damage you take and empower you to deal high damage. Path of Exile Pathfinder 5 Best Builds for PS4, XBOX1, and (Steam) PC Version of the game. At this guide, we rank pathfinder builds using 5 builds. You can find the Best Builds in this guide. These hot are based on the Builds viability, gear flexibility and popularity within the new Path of Exile Conquerors of the atlas League 3.9.

1 – POE 3.9 Scourge Arrow Pathfinder Build

INTRO:
Welcome to my scourge arrow build guide, This build including CI Trickster version, for what I have another build, and I think I like this one the most. In POE 3.9, Scourge Arrow’s base weapon damage has been lowered, but the skill now deals added Chaos Damage that grows as the gem levels. The skill was often used with builds adding elemental damage, so this change is intended to give it a greater reward to Chaos damage based builds while also improving its usability while leveling. This build solves a lot of problems that Scourge Arrow has, and that is having to charge to deal with good damage, having issues with struggler monsters near walls and having issues with outputting damage consistently (because of constant charge/release playstyle).
Nature’s Reprisal solves this by proliferating all our poisons to nearby enemies when they die, so we just need to shoot once, and everything around dies, including rares and leaves no strugglers behind. And for bosses, well, our poisons last around 5 seconds and we run Mirage Archer so the boss will be constantly dealt with decent DoT damage, even when we are dodging.

PROS & CONS:
+ Great single target.
+ Pretty good clear speed
+ 207% increased movement speed
+ 7K+ Life
+ 8% less Chaos damage taken
+ Permanent flask uptime
+ Enemies are chilled thanks to Summon Skitterbots
+ Enemies are hindered thanks to Wither
+ Enemies are maimed with maim chest
+ Can do all map mods
+ Can do all content
+ Decent league starter
- Needs a lot of intelligence from gear
- Scourge Arrow playstyle takes some time getting used to
- Enemies do not die instantly so sometimes we can take some dangerous hits
- Life sustain can be troublesome before getting Cinderswallow Urn

ASCENDANCY:
Nature’s Reprisal -> Master Toxicist -> Nature’s Adrenaline -> Nature’s Boon
ascendancy

BANDITS: Kill them all.

PANTHEON:
Major God – Soul of The Brine King
Minor God – Soul of Garukhan

2 – POE 3.9 Toxic Rain Pathfinder Build

INTRO:
Welcome to my Toxic Rain build guide in POE 3.9. This builds that go fast. Toxic Rain is an all-new skill gem introduced in 3.4 Delve League. It’s a cool toxic, poison version of Rain of Arrows with 3-phase damage. I have been tuning this build for the past two leagues (Legion/Blight) and I’ve cleared all the regular content with it. I think its a phenomenal build because it does not require a lot of gear to get started and progresses nicely as you invest more into it. I prefer movement speed over move skills because I really dislike mashing a button to move and move speed makes looting so much smoother. Turns out that movement speed also makes delve and labs a cakewalk so that’s that!

PROS & CONS:
+ Good damage
+ Amazing clear speed on all tiers
+ Very good defenses
+ Can be played as a starter with budget gear, great evolutive build
+ Amazing for fossil hunting in delve
+ Does not fear the syndicate, at all
+ If you like to craft or would like to learn, this is also a great opportunity to make your own stuff
+ Labs are a joke
+ Can get to red maps on a 1-2 ex budget
+ Map mods are an afterthought
+ Only need one easy to obtain 6 link
- You will die sometimes, one-shots happen
- This is not a front clearing build so backtracking is expected
- Benefits from good mechanics due to high movement speed
- The flask piano is real
- Not hardcore viable
- Bossing requires more investment

ASCENDANCY:
Nature’s Reprisal -> Nature’s Adrenaline -> Nature’s Boon -> Master Toxicist
ascendancy

BANDITS:
- Kill all while leveling and you can afford to cap resists on gear
- Help Alira if your gear cannot cap your resists

PANTHEON:
Major God – Soul of Lunaris
Minor God – Soul of Garukhan

3 – POE 3.9 Rain of Arrows Pathfinder Build

INTRO:
This build is the most popular rain of arrows pathfinder guide in POE 3.9. Poisons got buffed in 3.9 and it is easier to build a viable poison build not just around viper strike, toxic rain or scourge arrow. So this is my take on a bow poison build, not with scourge arrow or toxic rain, but the rain of arrows, three rain of arrows.

Almost easily 100% uptime in flasks, huge damage boost, and poison proliferation makes PF>Assassins in this build

PROS & CONS:
+ Lots of arrow raining down.
+ Absolutely destroys blight content, insane slow+ knockbacks
+ Can effectively use 3 mtx including base mtx
+ Fast clear
+ Can do all map mods effectively
+ Cheap items and slots are flexible
+ 90% chance to avoid stuns
+ Immunity to elemental ailments and curses
+ Not a tanky stand in everything build
+ Needs a 6Link to feel good
+ Hard to calculate real dps due to rain of arrow mechanics + poison mechanics
+ Maloney mechanism is quite expensive if you want your 3rd volley

ASCENDANCY:
Nature’s Boon -> Nature’s Reprisal -> Master Toxicist -> Master Alchemist
ascendancy

BANDITS:
Kill all, we want more points.

PANTHEON:
Major God – Soul of Solaris
Minor God – Soul of Lunaris

4 – POE 3.9 Blade Vortex Pathfinder Build

INTRO:
This build is a master of versatility in POE 3.9. Being able to speed run through labyrinth typically ending in top 25 placement, tier 16 maps, Shaper, and Elder; so versatile. This build makes an excellent league starter as most of the gear is simple to acquire and cheap. This build is designed to slowly ramp up in gear. i.e. Getting a 5L, then essence worm, etc. Then upgrading to a 6L. 20/20 gems. and so on. See the progression section gear showcase for my upgrade paths.

PROS & CONS:
+ Fast movement speed
+ Able to evade most attacks due to the extremely high evasion rating we have while flasks are up
+ Able to do all content in the game
+ Basic leveling gear is cheap even at the start of the league
+ Almost 100% flask up-time
+ Able to do all map mods except reflect
- Low health pool comparative to other builds
- Won’t 1 shot bosses, even with optimal gear it still takes a few seconds.
- Getting the exact colors for the armor can be quite difficult

ASCENDANCY:
Normal Lab -> Merciless Lab -> Merc Lab -> Uber Lab
ascendancy

BANDITS:
Help Alira for the mana regen, crit multi, and of course all elemental resistances.

PANTHEON:
Major God – Soul of Lunaris
Minor God – Soul of Garukhan

5 – POE 3.9 Herald of Agony Pathfinder Build

INTRO:
This build originally started as a remake of Neversink’s 2.2 Poison Animator. I played it back then and it was possibly the most fun build I had played.

With the changes to poison scaling, it needed to be built slightly differently. I had a Null’s Inclination build ready for league start in Synthesis and through my testing while leveling and until now, it slowly evolved into this build. Poet’s Pen is much better than Null’s for triggering spell casts due to not requiring killing blows, and can be used on bosses, which was one of the major issues with the Poison Animator build.

Herald has been added to take care of boss dps and it does a very good job. For the most part, though, this build is intended to be fast and smooth and fun to play in maps. I checked out a couple of HoA builds and I disliked the speed of clearing when using the herald’s AI. I wanted something that clears on its own with poison or degen, in the style of Neversink’s original build.

Despite the build no longer using AW/SRS summons or poison to clear, this iteration still has the same feel and playstyle and has been highly enjoyable for me to play so far.

PROS & CONS:
+ Good league starter
+ High movespeed, fun playstyle
+ Great for delving and legion pillar mobs
+ Basically zero budget to start, clear upgrade paths
+ Over 6k life, acro, phase acro, blind & flat damage reduction
+ Decent chaos resist
+ Lots of knockbacks
+ Can do all map mods easily
+ Non-meta requirements, gear is not high in demand
+ Low gear requirements,
+ Can use the two best MTX in the game, Celestial HoA and Cat Soulrend!
- Not as tanky as a 9k life max-block Gladiator or 16k ES Occultist herald build
- Still need to dodge big boss attacks and one-shots
- Soulrend damage drops off in groups as we aren’t scaling it too high.
- Single-target dps ceiling is not as high as a dedicated herald build
- Little room for scaling the build much further

ASCENDANCY:
Nature’s Reprisal -> Master Toxicist -> Nature’s Boon -> Master Alchemist
ascendancy

BANDITS: Kill all.

PANTHEON:
Major God – Soul of Lunaris
Minor God – Soul of Garukhan
